At Allee gallery’s spring auction, which took place on the 22nd of May, the highest hammer price was for Oskar Hoffmann’s oil painting “An Estonian farmer walking with a carriage and a calf” from the 19th Century, which was sold for 49 000 euros. Another record was made by Jüri Arrak’s 1989 piece “Weretraveler” and Richard Uutmaa’s “A beach at night”, 1960.
As always, there was a lot of interest in the work of the legendary Evald Okas – all four of his available pieces were sold at the auction. You can see a more detailed overview of the results here:
