From the 3rd of September, you’re invited to see a memorial exhibit at Allee gallery for Erich Pehap’s 110th birthday, curated by Katre Palm. Across two rooms, art lovers will be able to find an excellent overview of the artist’s work from private collections, both graphic prints as well as oil paintings.
Erich Pehap was born in Viljandi in 1912 and was educated at Pallas as well as in Montreal in Canada. This is where Pehap lived for the rest of his life after escaping the war, becoming active in the local art scene and arranging exhibits for other Estonian artists.
The exhibit will be open at Vana-Viru 11A until the 1st of October (T-F 12:30-18, Sat 12-16). We will also be adding some of Pehap’s pieces to our e-shop in the coming days.
