Meiu Münt’s work draws on the heritage of Fauvism, Symbolism, and Pop Art. She mainly paints figures and related accessories, as well as portrait close-ups charged with existential tension. Combining animal figures and portraiture, the main focus of the painting is on a beautiful horse modeled with bright spots, which takes a step towards the viewer, as if moving out of the picture space. Such a picturesque effect is not easy to achieve but Münt proves herself worthy of it.
