Meiu Münt (b. 1972) is an extremely feminine painter. “She paints shells that are later interpreted by situations and events. Each piece of clothing also contains memories of moments. Encounters with lovely or unpleasant people,” says painter Mall Nukke of Münt when looking at her dress portraits.
The beauties depicted in her works tell such personal stories for the artist herself – clothes that cover and protect people but also reveal their emotions, personality and style. Münt’s dresses do not hang shapelessly on a hanger but take on the shape of the wearer on the canvas, highlighting their body curves and character – passionate red, festive black or summer white express completely different types of people.
This red dress or “Rosenrot” belongs to a fiery woman. She has vivacity and confidence, her favorite perfume is Paco Rabanne’s “Fame” and she comes home from summer parties at sunrise. Champagne and crystal clear spring water flow in her blood and once you meet her, you will never forget her!
