For Evald Okas (1915-2011), the nude painting was his key artistic subject, which also most clearly highlighted his abilities as a painter. Spontaneously vigorous brushstrokes, made in a fit of true passion, gave rise to pieces that carry the freshness of creative freedom.

This painting, created in the last year of the 20th century, carries with it the hopefulness of entering the new millennium. This was a period when Okas particularly loved warm red, the color of passion and love. In the background, the artist brings both lemon yellow and fresh sea blue as abstract splashes of color.
