Concordia Klar (1938-2004) who composed surrealistic dreamlike fantasy paintings rich in figures with fanatical passion, is one of the most important practitioners of this art movement and is also interesting on an international scale. The figures placed in the most diverse and impossible poses are characterized by infinite movement – a composition in which there is no place where silence and peace would reign.

The tree and the triumphal arch formed by people act as monuments to the upward striving and the desire for fame. The path running through the staircase wall under the triumphal arch seems to lead towards the Moon, to the fulfillment of incredible dreams. The print is reproduced on page 99 in the collection “Concordia Klar”, Tallinn 2006.
