Märt Bormeister (1916-1991), a graduate of the Tallinn School of Art and Design, always remained true to the realistic style of depiction, and this composition also shows the artist at his best.
Asters, which bloom in the second half of August, are some of the most resilient flowers, and you can be sure that despite the volatile climate of Northern nature, they will always be faithfully ready when school starts. As in this composition, which emphasizes the rich color palette of the flower’s beauty, and which the artist has placed on a bright sky-blue background.
