Peamiselt s\u00f6\u00f6vitustehnikas t\u00f6\u00f6tanud kunstnik kasutas oma loomingus nii fragmente kohalikust folkloorist kui ornamentikast.<\/p>\n

Teoses \u201eKivised r\u00fctmid\u201c 1971. aastast l\u00e4heneb Tolli kivistele Tallinna vanalinna m\u00fc\u00fcridele kui malem\u00e4ngule, kus teatud etteantud r\u00fctmi j\u00e4lgides j\u00e4tab ta endale siiski v\u00f5imaluse vastast igal hetkel ootamatute k\u00e4ikudega \u00fcllatada. M\u00e4ngu n\u00e4rvek\u00f5ditavat ilu nautides on kunstnik harjumusp\u00e4rastest keskaegsete kaupmehemajade reast stiliseerinud r\u00fctmilise uue linna, kus Oleviste kohtub Nigulistega ning p\u00f5hjamaine arhitektuur l\u00f5unamaise klassikaga.
