Oma \u00f5rna, subliimse kujutlusviisiga tuntuks saanud Liiva p\u00e4lvis neljal korral Kunstnike Liidu aastapreemia ning on hiljem autasustatud veel mitmete auhindadega.<\/p>\n

Liiva meelistehnikaks 1970-ndatel oli ofort, mis oma pehmusega v\u00f5imaldas tundevarjundeid eriti h\u00e4sti esile tuua. Sageli kehastasid neid tema loomingus haldjataolised naiskujud, keda kunstnik kujutas nii s\u00fcrreaalsemates kui igap\u00e4evasemates situatsioonides. Tema \u201eT\u00fcdrukud\u201c on poeetiline vaade s\u00fcdasuvisele pidustusele, kus \u00fcle oru k\u00f5lava pillihelina saatel lookleb haldjate rongk\u00e4ik l\u00e4bi p\u00e4rgadega kaunistatud tee.
