[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text text_larger=”no” woodmart_inline=”no”]Karl August Herman (1903-1950) sai oma nime ristiisa – kuulsa helilooja, ajakirjaniku ja ents\u00fcklopedisti Karl August Hermanni j\u00e4rgi. Mitmek\u00fclgse haridusega ning kunstiringkondades k\u00f5rgelt hinnatud Herman maalis esindusportreid olulistest riigi- ning seltskonnategelastest, sh kolm portreed president Konstantin P\u00e4tsist.<\/p>\n

Tema portreed valmisid akadeemiliselt siledas ja fotograafiliselt t\u00e4pses laadis. S\u00f5na tema stiilsusest levis ning nii sai temast n\u00f5utud portretist ka v\u00e4lismaal, sh kunstimekas Pariisis. Teinud \u00f5nnestunud mosaiigitehnikas portree Thomas Alva Edisonist, paluti teda Franklin Delano Roosevelti ja tema ema samas tehnikas portreteerima.<\/p>\n

K\u00e4esolev portree kujutab Rosette J\u00f5elehte, Hiiumaalt p\u00e4rit s\u00e4ravat naist, kelle abikaasa oli edukas ettev\u00f5tja Arnold Leopold J\u00f5eleht. Moekas kost\u00fc\u00fcmis modelli portree on maalitud vahetult enne Rootsi emigreerumist ning naine v\u00f5ttis portree kui hinnalise vara endaga kaasa. Proua J\u00f5eleht oli suur kunstis\u00f5ber ning tal oli Rootsis oma kunstikogu, mis koosnes peamiselt s\u00f5jaj\u00e4rgsest Eesti kunstist, mis 20. sajandi l\u00f5pus osaliselt tee tagasi kodumaale leidis.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row]<\/p>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
